Course Prerequisites

• Age and Experience: You must be at least 18 years old and have logged at least 40 dives to start, with 60 dives required for certification.
• Certifications Required: Rescue Diver and current First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Physical Fitness: Good health and swimming skills are essential (400-yard swim test and more).

Course Structure

1. Classroom Sessions: Dive into dive theory, the role and responsibilities of a divemaster, and learn about supervising diving activities and assisting student divers.
2. Pool Training: Hone your skills in demonstrating diving abilities at an instructor level.
3. Ocean Dives: Conduct various scenarios, such as search and recovery, and learn to lead certified divers in San Diego’s waters.
