Course Requirements

• Age and Experience: Open to anyone ten or older with an Open Water Diver certification from a recognized training agency.
• Physical Fitness: Adequate swimming ability (200 yards without stopping) and good physical health are required.

Course Structure

Embark on an exciting educational journey encompassing both classroom learning and practical ocean dives:

1. Classroom Session: Begin with an introduction to fish identification, learning about the essential equipment and techniques.
2. Ocean Dives at La Jolla Cove: Apply your knowledge in two practical ocean dives, observing and identifying various fish species in their natural habitat.

Course Inclusions and Exclusions

• Included are an instructional fee, eLearning for Fish ID Diver, and a certification card.
• Not Included: Specific equipment (local fish identification slate & writing slate), available for purchase with a student discount, and rental gear costs.

Note: The course requires a minimum of 3 students. If this number still needs to be met, alternative arrangements or private training options are available at an additional cost.
