Course Prerequisites

• Age and Certification: This event is open to individuals aged 12 and above with an Advanced Open Water Diver certification or equivalent.

Detailed Course Structure

Embark on a comprehensive training journey, divided into classroom learning, pool training, and ocean dives:

1. Classroom Session: This session will start with a quiz and an introduction to search and recovery techniques, setting the stage for practical sessions.
2. Pool Training: Spend 2-3 hours in the pool, practicing and mastering the required skills under the guidance of your instructor.
3. Ocean Dives at La Jolla Shores: Apply your skills over two ocean dives, demonstrating your learning and competence in real-world scenarios.

• Included: Instructional fee, eLearning access for Search and Recovery Diver, and certification card.
• Not Included: Specific required equipment like a safety spool or wreck reel, a lift bag or SMB, and rental gear costs.
