Why Train With Us?

While we understand you have many options when choosing instructors and shops to get certified through, we strive to give our students the best experience we can provide.

  • Class Limit of 4 Students Per Class (Ensures a safer and more intimate experience with instructional staff.)
  • Environmentally Friendly Rental Equipment (Our rental gear has been built from the ground up, ensuring we minimize our footprint as much as possible.)
  • Highly Trained Staff (Our Training Director hand-picked and trained instructors. They also routinely undergo evaluations and training.)

Requirements

You must be at least ten or older to enroll in our PADI Underwater Photographer course. You must hold an Open Water certification (or Junior Open Water) or equivalent from a recognized training agency. You also need adequate swimming skills (swim 200 yards without stopping) and need to be in good physical health.

What's Involved?

Your journey to explore the underwater world begins with signing up for the next available course, filling out some paperwork, getting fitted for equipment, and completing homework before the first night of class. The course is split into two sections:

  • The first section is the classroom session. During the classroom session, you will meet your fellow underwater explorers and instructor, who will be with you for the rest of the course. You and your fellow students will take a quick quiz and get started learning about the plants and animals of our local underwater ecosystem. You will focus on identifying species, interpreting animal behaviors, and gaining a greater understanding of the species' interactions.
  • The second and final section is the ocean session. On the first day, you and your new friends will complete two dives demonstrating a selection of the skills you learned from the instructor. You'll also practice identifying plant and animal species at a local dive site and talk about the site's conservation.

After This Course

Experience new adventures with a PADI Instructor by your side. PADI continuing education courses like Deep Diver will help you develop your skills as a diver.

Still trying to decide which specialty to try first? Try the PADI Deep Diver course! Increase the depth you can dive to, learn how to manage your gas consumption better and dive to deeper depths safely.

If you don't have the opportunity to dive for six months (or longer), you can quickly refresh the knowledge and skills you learned in Open Water with the PADI ReActivate® program. Your PADI certification never expires, but after a prolonged inactivity, you may want to brush up on diving fundamentals and safety procedures.
